Dr. Jerome Kraft is originally from Chicago, Illinois. He attended undergraduate school at Saint Mary's College in Winona, Minnesota, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1959. He is a member of the Tri Beta Honor Society for Biological Sciences. Dr. Kraft attended the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine, Ontario, Canada, receiving his Doctor of Medicine Degree in 1964. He completed his internship and orthopedic surgical residency at Saint Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois from 1964 through 1969. Following his residency Dr. Kraft completed the Aufranc Fellowship in reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee in Boston, Massachusetts from 1972 through 1973.

Dr. Kraft is retired from the United States Army Medical Corps with 21 years of military service. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and Medical Consultant to the Armed Forced. Dr. Kraft is also a member of the Illinois State Medical Society and the Peoria Medical Society. He is licensed in the state of Illinois and the state of Georgia. He was certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in 1973, and has been practicing in the Peoria area since 1974. He has retired from active practice, but will continue performing Independent Medical Evaluations.
